Matthew and his wife, Anita have owned and operated Fowler Portraits since 1991. The family business was started by Keith and Betty Fowler in 1949 and has earned a reputation for high quality photography and personalized service - all at a reasonable cost.  He joined Fowler Portraits in 1986 as a wedding and portrait photographer.

He is now enjoying photographing second and even third generations of previous Fowler clients he photographed in his first years with the studio!

Matthew's photography has earned recognition and awards at the regional, state, and national levels of competition. His photographs have been shown at state and national displays and have appeared in professional photography publications including the Professional Photographer magazine. He holds the coveted Master of Photography degree, awarded by the Professional Photographer's of America as well as fellowships from the Professional Photographer's of Washington Association. Matthew has taught other professional photographers as a platform speaker at conventions across the country on both photographic and professional business topics.  Matthew has received the National Award from the Professional Photographers of America which is the highest award given. Matthew's skill gives him the ability to create a very "natural" look in portraits and is just one reason customers come from miles around to Fowler Portraits. Matthew's wife, Anita is the one who makes thing happen here at the studio!  She is the studio manager, and is in charge of making sure your total experience at Fowler Portraits is a pleasant and satisfying one.  Matthew says he could not do it without her... she's the good woman behind the good man!

From designing the marketing material for the studio to helping you make your final selections at the studio, her goal is to make you feel welcome and that any portrait created at Fowlers is the best it can be.

Anita studied Fashion Design in Kingston, Ontario Canada, and she worked for Nordstrom in the Brass Plum Design office before joining Fowler Portraits.
